Guided classes and workshops
Want to learn a new creative skill?
As well as drop in sessions, nook runs a calendar of classes and workshops where you really get into a craft or skill.
These are small, friendly and genuinely worth your time. Some workshops are one off and others run across a few sessions, ALL of them involve a cuppa!
Our workshops are a mix of classes run by nook, and others led by external tutors who hire our space. Booking links for all classes are below, please note that when booking a class with an external tutor your booking is directly with them, nook is just the home for the class.

September Classes

Words for the Wall - Inverness Fringe event!
Wednesday 30th September - 6:30pm
Create your own piece of art with your favourite words, using paint, collage, colour, typography. Song lyrics, poetry, literature, phrases, whatever words are special to you!
DJ Nomad Soul will be on the decks, You don't need to be an artist, you just need some words you love. Come and play!

The Scrap Collective - Monthly group
Monday 28th September - 6pm
Enjoy two hours of cutting, sticking, layering and making! Everything collage, junk journaling, scrapbooking, and mixed media creative play.
Bring your journal, learn how to put one together or make a single piece each time.
Everyone welcome, beginner friendly.

The Writing Window
Sunday 27th September - 10am
A gentle two hour creative writing session open to everyone.
Expect fun exercises and projects, and included is space for free writing time.

Back with new autumnal designs! Build a picture with materials using the Japanese no sew method. Choose a design or create your own!

Coorie in : Curating your slow season!
Sunday 4th October 2pm
A cosy, relaxed afternoon of creativity, thinking about how you want your autumn and winter to feel.
Forget goals, manifesting and shopping lists. This is about slowing down, being good to yourself and making space for what makes you feel good.
Create a seasonal collage or zine using images, words, colour and whatever catches your eye.

Rustic Autumn Garland Workshop
Saturday 10th October - 2pm
Create a seasonally beautiful rustic garland from decorating small wood slices with paint, papers and embellishments.
Everything provided, including a good cuppa! Come for an afternoon of cozy crafting!
